1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. mashed ripe bananas
1/2 c. chopped nuts
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt

Cream shortening and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs and beat well.
Sift dry ingredients together and stir into egg mixture.
Stir in nuts and bananas.
Pour into greased pan and bake at 350 degrees until done. (test middle with toothpick)

Optional: To make more moist, use 1/4 c. buttermilk when mixing together.
Plus, add raisins or top with sprinkled powdered sugar.
