Enchiladas Empty Enchiladas

1 1/3 c. enchilada sauce
8 tortillas
1 lb. ground beef
1 tbls. salt
dash of pepper
dash of garlic salt
2/3 c. chopped onion
1 1/4 c. grated sharp cheese
1 1/2 c. chopped lettuce

Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Saute meat in shortening. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic.
Heat sauce, while simmering dip tortillas in sauce.
Roll and secure with toothpick and arrange in greased dish 7x11x2 in.

Pour all sauce on top and bake 25 minutes.

Sauce:

1 c. condensed soup (undiluted)
1/4 tsp. garlic salt
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
1/4 c. water
1/8 tsp. oregano leaves
dash of salt

combine ingredients and simmer for 10 minutes.
Stir occasionally
For hotter sauce, increase pepper 1/2 teaspoon.
